Position Summary


The Customer Outreach Assistant supports RangerPRINT's sales, customer service, marketing, and outreach functions. This position serves as a primary customer-facing representative and helps customers identify printing solutions, obtain information and estimates, coordinate project details, and follow up throughout the customer experience.

The position is responsible for developing and maintaining positive relationships with Kilgore College departments, faculty, staff, student organizations, community organizations, businesses, and other customers. The position will also support marketing initiatives, social media content, customer outreach, promotional campaigns, and efforts to increase awareness of and use of RangerPRINT services.

The successful candidate will be highly customer-focused, professional, organized, creative, and comfortable initiating conversations with current and prospective customers. This position requires the ability to work independently while maintaining effective communication and collaboration with RangerPRINT production staff.


Position responsibilities
 
  • Develop customer relationships and conduct outreach to Kilgore College departments, faculty, staff, student organizations, community organizations, businesses, nonprofits, and other potential customers; identify new business opportunities; maintain customer follow-up activities; promote RangerPRINT services; and assist with customer feedback efforts designed to improve services and expand business.
  • Support marketing and social media efforts by assisting with marketing strategies and promotional campaigns; creating and maintaining social media content; developing promotional graphics, flyers, email communications, and other digital materials; photographing or collecting images of completed projects; promoting RangerPRINT through appropriate campus and community channels; maintaining accurate digital and website information; and monitoring customer engagement and inquiries.
  • Support RangerPRINT operations and inventory management by helping monitor inventory levels, maintaining organized supplies and materials, identifying potential supply needs, and communicating inventory concerns to appropriate staff. Assist with maintaining an organized, clean, and professional shop environment to support workplace safety, production efficiency, and effective operations.
  • Maintain knowledge and support departmental operations by developing knowledge of RangerPRINT products, services, capabilities, procedures, and pricing; collaborating with production and Auxiliary Enterprises staff; assisting with administrative and customer-service functions; and performing other duties as assigned.

Minimum Position Requirements
 
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in customer service, sales, marketing, communications, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and professionally, both verbally and in writing.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide quality customer service.
  • Basic computer proficiency, including experience with Microsoft Office or comparable software.
  • Ability to organize work, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Physical Demands and Work Environment

 
  • Work is normally performed in a typical interior/office work environment.
  • No or very limited physical effort required; however, the employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

Salary Range & Fringe Benefits
 
  • The rate of pay is up to $13 per hour depending on experience for up to 19 hours per week.

All employees must be available to physically present to work on the Kilgore, TX or Longview, TX Campus. Some Part-Time and Adjunct positions may be offsite but the candidate MUST live in the State of Texas.

Positions will remain open until filled. Some Adjunct and Part-Time teaching positions may remain open perpetually as the need for part time instructors fluctuates with student enrollment.
