Part-Time EKG Instructor
Position Details:
As an EKG Instructor, you will be responsible for designing and delivering comprehensive curriculum, conducting instructional sessions, and assessing student progress to ensure mastery of EKG interpretation skills.
Responsibilities:
Curriculum Development:
- Design and update curriculum content for EKG courses, ensuring alignment with industry standards and best practices.
- Develop lesson plans, presentations, and instructional materials to facilitate effective learning.
- Conduct lectures and interactive sessions to teach students about the anatomy and physiology of the cardiovascular system, principles of electrocardiography, and EKG interpretation.
- Use multimedia tools and visual aids to enhance learning experiences.
- Provide practical training in EKG procedures, including electrode placement, machine operation, and troubleshooting.
- Supervise and guide students as they practice acquiring EKG tracings on simulation equipment
- Administer quizzes, exams, and competency assessments to evaluate students' understanding of EKG principles and proficiency in performing EKG procedures.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and attendance.
- Stay updated on advancements in EKG technology, cardiac diagnostics, and related healthcare practices.
- Participate in continuing education activities to enhance teaching effectiveness and maintain proficiency in the field.
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and performance.
- Provide reports to the administration as required.
- Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with educational trends and teaching methodologies.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Certification as a Registered Cardiovascular Technologist (RCT) or equivalent credential preferred.
- Teaching or training experience in healthcare education.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in EKG interpretation and analysis.
Salary Range & Fringe Benefits:
