Adjunct Instructor - Accounting

Business and Information Technology - Kilgore, TX - Part Time

Position Details:

This position is part of the teaching faculty within the Business and Information Technology department and reports to the Department Chair. Accounting instructors that can teach online as well as on campus in Kilgore or Longview are needed.

Responsibilities:

This is a part-time faculty position. Responsibilities will include teaching one or more Principles of Financial Accounting or Principles of Managerial Accounting courses, developing appropriate course syllabi, and working with students as needed. Courses may be online, face-to-face, or hybrid, and may occur during daytime or evening hours. Adjunct faculty members teach and supervise all learning experiences and evaluate student performance in the classroom.

Minimum Qualifications:

A master's degree is required. Candidates must also have at least 18 graduate hours in Accounting, or a  current CPA license with accounting experience in the course learning outcomes. Preference will be given to applicants with previous college teaching experience.

Salary Range & Fringe Benefits:
  • Salary for adjunct faculty members is based upon level of education and range from $1,800 per 3-hour course for a master's degree to $2,000 per 3-hour course for a doctorate.
